Custom domains

Every site gets a free name.botbuilt.site address. On a paid plan you can serve it on your own domain instead — like yourbrand.com or www.yourbrand.com — with HTTPS set up automatically.

How it works

You don't touch any settings pages here — you ask the Agent, and it walks you through one DNS change at your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains, and the like).

01Ask to connect it. Tell the Agent “use my domain yourbrand.com.” It checks the name and gives you the exact DNS record to add.
02Add one DNS record. At your domain registrar, add the record it gives you (a CNAME for a subdomain like www, or an ALIAS/ANAME at the root). Copy-and-paste — no other settings.
03It goes live automatically. Once DNS points at us, your domain connects and a certificate is issued for you. HTTPS is on from the first request — nothing to configure.
Apex vs. subdomain

A subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com works at essentially every registrar via a CNAME. A bare root domain (yourbrand.com) needs a registrar that supports ALIAS/ANAME or CNAME-flattening (most modern ones do). If yours doesn't, the Agent will suggest using www as your main address and forwarding the root to it. It tells you exactly which record to use for your domain.

Good to know

DNS can take a little while. Changes usually propagate in minutes but can take longer depending on your registrar. The Agent keeps checking and confirms when it's live.
🔒
HTTPS is automatic. A managed certificate is issued and renewed for you — no keys, no renewals to track.
