Getting started

It takes one message to get a real, hosted website. Here's how.

1. Pick a way to start

All three reach the same Agent β€” use whichever is in front of you. Start in one and switch anytime.

πŸ’¬
In your browser β€” open the web app, enter your email, and click the one-tap sign-in link we send. You'll watch your site build in a live preview beside the chat. Best if you want to see changes as they happen.
βœ‰οΈ
By email β€” send what you want to build@botbuilt.site. You'll get a reply with a link to your site. Reply to that thread to change anything.
πŸ“±
By text β€” text (417) 528-2458. Same idea: describe it, get a link back, text again to edit.

2. Describe what you want

The more you say about the vibe and what's on it, the closer the first draft lands β€” but you can refine anything afterward.

A good first message names what it's for, a name, and a feel:

Build me a one-page site for my coffee shop, Ember & Oak β€” cozy and warm, with our menu and opening hours.

More starting points:

3. Preview privately β€” then publish

Nothing goes public until you say so. A minute or two after your first message, the Agent builds your site as a private draft and sends you a link to review β€” it lives at an unguessable address, so only people you share it with can see it.

When it looks right, just tell the Agent to publish (β€œmake it live”) and your site goes up at its own public address, like ember-and-oak.botbuilt.site β€” fast worldwide, with automatic HTTPS. Share it the moment it's live.

4. Change anything

Just say what to change β€” no dashboards, no redeploys. β€œMake the header green,” β€œput the hours above About Us,” β€œadd a page about our story,” β€œswap in this photo.” Each change shows up on your draft in seconds β€” tell the Agent to publish when you want it live.

Because the Agent remembers your conversation, you never have to re-explain your site β€” a short instruction is enough. See Features for photos, spreadsheets, and forms.
